My name is Kayla Lopez and I run Simcoe & Muskoka Wedding Pages, both are online Wedding Vendor Directories catering to engaged couples seeking to get married in the Simcoe & Muskoka region. 

I have been involved in the wedding industry for the past 14 years, I’ve worked in event planning & set up, wedding shows and trade shows and as a floral designer. It’s been a wild ride.

Six years ago my family and I moved to Barrie from Toronto, where I launched my floral business and continued freelancing for other industry professionals. Besides working in Simcoe County, I also started doing a lot of weddings in and around Muskoka, and I fell in love. 

Now with being a business owner I had invested in different kinds of Marketing throughout the years: magazines, brochures, weddings shows and Wedding Vendor Directories. While doing so, I also realized my love for Marketing, so I went back to College and got my diploma in Marketing and Advertising Communications from Georgian College. While I was in school I was thinking about how many great Vendors and Venues Simcoe & Muskoka have to offer, if only more people knew about them…and that was the beginning.

In Canada we have several national and provincial wedding vendor directories- so why create another one?

To me the issue with the majority of these directories is over saturation, so many options for so many regions and it can become overwhelming when couples are in their initial wedding planning stage, not only that but some of the larger ones cost $1000+/year. After looking around at what other directories had to offer I knew that I wanted to focus on only two specific regions and I wanted to keep it simple yet effective for both couples and vendors.

Both Simcoe & Muskoka Wedding Pages were created to focus on promoting local vendors and venues and supporting couples in their wedding planning journey. Even though we are a membership site our goal isn’t to sign on as many Vendors as possible, but rather to be a resource that educates and unites couples with people, experiences and environments that elevates and completes their wedding day.

There is something magical up here, it’s a place where you can find exactly what you’re looking for…because we have it all. There is no comparison to what we have to offer in Simcoe County and Muskoka, and I want to be a small part of it.
